"Forging a path through music that began with These are the Roots, Atlanta-based singer/songwriter Micah Dalton presents his newest full length studio release, Blue Frontier. A collection of 12 songs that sonically run the gamut from 60s and 70s soul and R&B like that of Bill Withers or Nina Simone to the rootsy fire of Paul Simon and Neil Young.

“I think there are a lot of entry points in these songs,” Dalton says. He approached the writing of the album with a storytelling mentality that branched out from explicitly personal stories to speak to the universality of human experience. 

Vocally, Blue Frontier (recorded in three weeks in Nashville) sounds like a soul record. But the addition of Atlanta-based musicians heading up the rhythm section add a touch of an Atlanta flavor.

Through each of the 12 tracks, the listener is treated to a musical journey that will appease the tastes of even the most particular of music listeners. The album offers up styling and lyrics relatable to all, no matter their stage of life.

Dalton has shared the stage with a wide scope of artists, ranging from Richard Julian (Little Willies), Dave Barnes, Jon McLaughlin, Gym Class Heros, and Kaki King. He has also been featured in Southern Living, Paste Magazine, Obscure Sound, Ath Fest, and SXSW.

Blue Frontier will be released on March 13th, 2012, with the official release show in Atlanta on March 16th at Vinyl. More tour dates to follow."
